Bachelorยดs Degree

To be admitted into an Undergraduate Program (Bachelorโ€™s Degree) at International Bridge University (IBU), applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Submit an official high school diploma or equivalent issued by an authorized institution, state-licensed, or government-recognized.

  • Submit a valid government-issued photo identification.

  • If applying with an Associate Degree, official transcripts must be submitted from a licensed or authorized institution.

  • For degrees obtained outside the United States, an official evaluation by a certified U.S. agency is required, along with a certified English translation

Masterยดs Degree

To be admitted into a Graduate Program (Masterโ€™s Degree) at International Bridge University, applicants must submit:

  • A rรฉsumรฉ written in English.

  • An official academic transcript or original credential evaluation demonstrating completion of a degree equivalent to a U.S. Bachelorโ€™s Degree, issued by an authorized or recognized institution.

  • A valid government-issued photo identification.

  • For degrees obtained outside the United States, an official evaluation by a certified U.S. agency and a certified English translation are required.

International Credential Evaluationโ€จ

If your studies were completed outside the United States, an academic credential evaluation by a recognized agency is required.

If you already have an official evaluation:

  • Request that the evaluation agency send the official report directly to IBU.โ€จ

  • Copies submitted by the student do not replace the official report.

If you do not yet have an evaluation:

You may begin the process by submitting:

  • Your official university degree (degree certificates are not accepted), or

  • Academic transcripts

Important considerations

  • A degree certificate is not accepted as valid proof of an academic degree.

  • The official evaluation report must be sent directly by the agency to: [email protected]

  • IBU may grant a period of up to 3 months to complete any pending documentation under a conditional admission status.

Application Fee

  • The application fee is a non-refundable administrative charge.

  • It is valid for one (1) year from the date of payment.

Degree Legality

International Bridge University is authorized by the Florida Commission for Independent Education (CIE), which allows the university to legally operate and confer valid academic degrees in the United States.

What is the cost of the admission application at IBU and what does it cover?

The Application Fee is a $120.00 USD administrative charge required to begin the admission process for each applicant.
This fee covers the costs associated with:

The initial review of the submitted academic documentation

Verification of compliance with the admission requirements established in the IBU Academic Catalog

Creation and opening of the student's institutional record

Administrative follow-up until the issuance of the admission letter (conditional or definitive)

Is the Application Fee refundable or transferable?

No. The Application Fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, even if the applicant decides not to complete the enrollment process or does not meet the admission requirements.
This policy ensures transparency and regulatory compliance in accordance with Chapter 1005.04 of the Florida Statutes (Fair Consumer Practices).
Additionally, the Application Fee is personal and non-transferable. It cannot be transferred to another student or applied to a different academic program.

What happens to the Application Fee if I choose not to enroll or wish to defer my admission?

If you decide not to proceed with your enrollment or wish to defer your admission, the Application Fee will remain valid for up to twelve (12) months from the original payment date.
To maintain its validity, you must notify the Admissions Office in writing of your decision to postpone or not enroll. This will allow you to resume the admission process within the following academic year without having to pay the fee again.

If you are not admitted, the Application Fee is non-refundable, as it covers the administrative costs of the evaluation process.
However, you may reapply in a future academic term without paying the fee again, as long as it is within the same application year, your documents are updated, and you meet the current admission requirements.

Can I transfer the Application Fee to another person or program?

No. The Application Fee is personal and non-transferable.โ€จ It cannot be applied to another student or to a different academic program.

What happens if I choose to defer my admission?
